Anyways, I've finally settled on what I'm going to do about my visa situation. Since it's pretty much exactly what the Japanese embassy in Oslo said I should do, I'm almost confident about it too! I'm not gonna worry anymore. I won't! Seriously! STOP IT, brain! Have some more booze!
Moooooving on.
I'd like to talk about jetlag, and how I've got it. See, everywhere keeps insisting that it's 8am, but in my head it's 1am, and in addition to that I think a generous estimate of my sleep last night (what night? when was the night? when am I? wat?) can be clocked in at two hours maximum so I think I might actually be going insane. And writing really bad run-on sentences that I'm too sleepy to edit. And blog posts unable to focus on a theme.
But I digress (again, and wasn't that my point...).
I travelled through the night and flew into the morning.
They served me breakfast,
and I was like "LOL as if I've gotten any sleep at all!"
But it's not so bad, really. A little lonely, but I'll survive. I've already started on one of my goals with this whole shablazle; socializing and actually talking to people. I know, right? I got to know the Norwegian lawyer type man sitting next to me on the way to Amsterdam (who also gave me his card and told me to call if the visa thing goes really tits up. Hooray!), a nice Dutch couple I bumped into on the Amsterdam airport, and I had a great time drinking whiskey with the Filipino military-personel-and-policeman-turned-oilrig-chef I had the good fortune of sitting next to on das monsterflight to Hong Kong.
And now I'm hanging out waiting for my gate to be announced.
Oooh, and now they announced it.
...My flight is delayed.
Balls.
